Factory51 has provided web design and graphic design services for many clients outside of Guthrie Center, outside of Iowa, even outside of the Midwest. For print design work we try to provide online proofing, which results in faster turn around and lower costs.

The Factory51 approach to the web design and graphic design business is unlike most in the industry. Factory51 is still operated from a home-based office. Factory51 utilizes a respected list of freelance artists when a project or workload demands additional staff. Each person brings their own special skills in print management, advertising, marketing, graphic design, web development, photography - even Japanese translation! Most likely you will be working directly with the owner, one-on-one. What and who is Factory51?

Factory51 is owned by Steve Sand, who has been working in the graphic design industry since 1992 (Factory51 has been in business since April 2001). Factory51 got it's name while Steve worked as a full time artist for the one of largest agricultural retailers in the US and freelanced during the evening. As more freelance projects came in it meant spending a lot of evenings designing (sometimes from 5pm till 1am. Thus, the 5 1). And Factory51 Design was born.
